📊What are the targeting opportunities on LinkedIn?

There is no doubt that LinkedIn is the fastest and best growing B2B platform in the world. Compared to other Social Media, LinkedIn is the only place where through filters and the capabilities of the platform itself, we are able to completely refine our target group by specifying:

Industry - LinkedIn suggests us a range of specialties by default, but a list of all industries throughout the site is not provided. The search engine only shows suggested areas, all of which are as many as 146!

Positions - The service gives us the opportunity to refine our audience based on position, e.g. CEO, Director, President. This is the only platform where we have the ability to select and target a specific position. For example, in Poland we have over 52,000 Directors!

Location - We can easily target people from a specific city or country. Selecting a city is useful especially when we organize local events or conferences. For example, if we run an agency, organizing training for HR departments from Warsaw, we know that by specifying the industry, i.e. Human Resources, we have more than 19,000 specialists!

Company size - Defining the size of the company is an option available only in Sales Navigator, but in case you want to reach only small companies, or only larger companies, or only corporations, it turns out to be indispensable. For example, there are more than 21,000 Owner/CEOs in companies with 1 to 10, 11 to 50 employees.

Functions within the company - My clients are often people who have products aimed at a specific industry. In order to bypass redundant mailing and reach a strict target group, we select people who are decision makers in the organization right away. For example, it is possible to select the group that is responsible for purchasing in the company. Below is the result of a search for people responsible for purchasing in Polish companies. Again, this option is only available in Sales Navigator.

Of course, there are many more filters available on LinkedIn, but I have presented the ones I mostly rely on when selecting a target audience for my clients.
